Fine mono, Fine welded Mono and French lace are three most popular net material used on men’s toupee. Do you feel confused when choose the knots type on these net materials? Newtimes Hair guide you to know the suitable knots:

Fine mono: Both single split knots and double split knots can be used. When hair density is less than medium and more synthetic is mixed in, we can use split knots. Otherwise, double split knots is better, because it is stronger and has better hair direction.

Fine Welded Mono: Same as Fine Mono. Both single split knots and double split knots can be used. But double reverse split knots is recommended especially when hair type is human hair and hair density more than med-light. Of cause, because double split knots is stronger than single split knot, and also better hair direction.

French Lace: As French lace has bigger hole size than Fine Mono and Fine Welded Mono, double split knots should be used. We will use single split knots on front 1/4″ only for natural look hair line. If use single reverse split knots all over, the toupee will be easy to have hair falling problem due to loose knots. Don’t be worried about the bigger knots due to the double split knots. Bleached knots can help to make the knots invisible and create a very natural look.
