  2. How long do clip-in hair extensions last?

With proper care, clip-in human hair extensions can typically last 3-6 months. Our Remy hair clip-in extensions can last over a year with proper care.

  3. Do clip-in extensions damage my client’s hair?

Clip-in hair extension is one of the least damaging hair extensions.

They are for temporary hair extensions, using clips (how they are named) to attach, so they are very easy to attach and remove. Besides, they don’t include any heat or chemicals in the installation process that are bad for hair.

The clips used for clip-in hair extensions have a tiny rubber strip to stop the hair extension from slipping to grant a solid grip on your client’s natural hair.

With such a solid grip, they will not pull or snag at your client’s natural hair, causing damage. Clips are also attached to one weft to evenly distribute weight for comfortable attachment.

However, never sleep with clip-in hair extensions on. Tossing around on the bed will lead to snapping or cause patches. Clip-ins are very easy to put on and take off. Make sure your client takes them off before bed.

  4. How to put on clip-in extensions

Clip-in hair extensions are the easiest to use & the least permanent hair extension method out there. They come in strands with clips pre-attached to the base, making it easy to clip into your natural hair roots. Follow the easy steps below to put on clip-in extensions.

Step 1. Section a part of the hair off in the area where your client wants to attach her clip-in hair extensions. Secure and fix the hair and above the section.
Step 2. Braid the rest of the hair horizontally across the head.
Step 3. Attach the clip-in hair extensions to the base of the braided hair.

  5. Can you sleep with clip-in hair extensions?

Preferably, we do not suggest you sleep with her clip-in hair extensions on. We all toss and turn while asleep. This is natural. But this natural, relaxing movement unfortunately will pull at her hair, and tug at the hair extensions, damaging the hair and even the scalp.

Clip-in hair extensions generally last longer than permanent hair extensions. That’s because the wearer doesn’t wear them at all times. So just take them off, and give them a break while asleep.

  6. How often should my client wash clip-in extensions?

Unlike most other hair extension methods, clip-in hair extensions are super easy to put on and take off. They don’t gather oils from our scalp as our natural hair does.

It is commonly recommended that the wearer washes her clip-in hair extensions every 15-20 wears or when she notices a build-up of hair products. Anyway, the less she passes them, the longer they shall last.

  7. How to wash clip-in hair extensions

Step 1: Comb or brush the hair extension to a smooth state, removing tangles and knots to make an easy wash. Start by brushing with a soft bristle hairbrush or a wide-tooth comb from bottom to top. This will remove tough knots (if any) without snapping or pulling against the hair. To make the job easy, lay all the wefts in line on a flat surface, then do it.

Step 2: Clean the sink or bathtub before washing. Then fill the bathtub with lukewarm water, and add 2-3 pumps of moisturizing, colored, sulfate-free hair-friendly shampoo into the water to make a soapy ‘bath’ for the extensions. Don’t get the clips wet. Hold this part up as washing the extensions. Immerse the extensions into the water and wash gently. When finished, gently lift the hair extensions from the water and drain the sink or bathtub.

Step 3: Hold clip-in hair extensions at the top. Apply proper shampoo and conditioner to each and every weft. Work this gently into all lengths of each weft to clean them thoroughly. Then rinse them up and apply the hair conditioner from the root up to the tip. Set each weft aside on a towel. Gently handle each strand to prevent tangling. Leave the hair conditioner for 5-10 minutes, then wash it off. This will keep the extensions smooth, shiny, and manageable.

Step 4: Rinse off the hair conditioner and all other hair products thoroughly with warm tap water. If the extensions still feel slippery after rinsing, it means there’s still some hair conditioner or other hair products remaining. Keep rinsing it till the water turns clear.

Step 5: After rinsing them thoroughly, gently squeeze them dry from root to tip. Never dry them with a towel. For this may cause knots or damage to the hair. Use a wide-tooth comb or hair brush to smooth them out, getting rid of tangles. Your client can also try using a leave-in conditioner to make it extra soft before drying.

Step 6: Leave the hair extensions to air dry. Set them aside on a towel or a dry flat surface to hang them up in a proper-ventilated area so they can air dry properly. A hair dryer, if applied too closely, can easily cause damage to the extensions.

  8. How to store clip-in hair extensions

A storage box, case, cabinet, closet, dresser, or drawer are great places to store hair extensions.

    Keep those in mind:
Ensure to store them in a cool and dry place.
Keep them away from direct sunlight.
Ensure that her extensions are completely dry when storing them to prevent mildew or bacteria.

● What hobbies and interests do you have?

I enjoy exercising. That’s a very important part of my life. I’m a super active person.

● Do you have a phobia? If you do, what is it?

No, not that I know of. I’m a very realistic person. If you mention outlandish stuff like aliens, monster in the bush, I’d be out of my mind.

● What is something you would love to do in the future?

I want to learn how to swim. I know it might sound a bit sarcastic, as I just mentioned that I enjoy doing exercise. Unfortunately, swimming hasn’t been on my list. I think I better catch up on that.

● What wig would you wear if you wore one and why?

I’d give HW1 a try. It looks natural and beautiful. Though we categorize it as a medical wig, almost any female can wear it. It’s got a lace mesh base, breathable, and flexible. You don’t need glue or tape to fix it to your head. Pretty easy, and it gives you all the long hair look a girl could want.

  • How would people in the office describe you?

At our end-of-year conference, my colleagues agreed that I’m a warm hearted, positive, and easy-going teammate. It gives me a sense of reward.

  • Do you have a phobia? If you do, what is it?

I don’t like being confined in a very small space. I believe it was due to a childhood experience. When I was six years old, I accidentally tripped and fell into a shallow well. I had to wait for two hours before I was found. Since then, I’ve found I just can’t tolerate the idea of being alone. I guess that makes me an active team player.

  • You are happiest when…

This may sound boastful, but it’s true. It’s just part of my nature to help others. When I actually see that what I did for them has helped them achieve something, it just makes me excited.

  • Which mens/womens hair system do you sell the most? Why that model?

I recomend HS25V. Oftentimes I’d introduce this model to my new clients to start with, so they can introduce this to their new clients see if hair systems are what really suit them, before they carry on with lace or mono hair systems.

I’m a typical town girl, you know. I’m into cats and dogs. But things like snakes, all sorts of insects, and hamsters; they are not my cup of tea. So, never get them near me.

  • Which mens/womens hair system do you sell the most? Why that?

Most of my clietns are after Q6. And their clients happened to be guys who are into hair systems that are durable and natural. Q6 is a pretty good pick for them. With proper care, it should easily last 6 months.

  • Which men/womens hair system do you sell the most? Why that model?

New Australia. When it first came out in early 2023, it made me top of sales. I think most wearers like it because at the design statge, our experts considered all possible aspects people could want from a hairpiece, such as a natural look, a level of comfort, and affordablity; it’s similar to lace, but most wearers can afford.
