Step 1: Using scissors, cut some tape into thin, short pieces. Apply the small tape pieces to the perimeter of the base. Since the hair system tape is double-sided, you need to peel off the protective paper on the other side.
Step 2: If your customer is not bald on top, shave the remaining hair. Try to shave an area that fits the size of the toupee. Use rubbing alcohol to clean the lace hair system and your customer's head. It is very important to clean off all dirt and scalp oil before taping.
Step 3: Choose where you want the lace hair system to be and make marks on the head.
Step 4: Position the lace hair system, and slowly apply it to the scalp from the front of the head to the back. Make sure you do not press the tape onto your customer's baby hair during this process. Continue to apply pressure to ensure the toupee is completely secure to the head.

At this point, the men's lace wigs should be clean and clear of the old tape residue.
Step 2: Soak the men's lace wigs in liquid solvent. Soaking times may vary depending on the type of lace hair system and tape used. Thirty minutes is enough in most cases.
Step 3: Take the men's lace wigs out from the solvent and lay it in a sink with the hair down. Gently remove the residue with a brush. After getting the residue off, place your unit back into the solvent for a couple of minutes.
Step 4: Move your men's lace wigs from the solvent back into the sink. Gently glide the brush across the edge of the base and out through the hair, and all the remaining residue should slide off easily. After a few minutes of brushing, rinse your lace hair system with lukewarm water down through the base.
At this point, the men's lace wigs should be clean and clear of the old tape residue.
