FAQs
V-loop technology is a technique for natural-looking. This technique involves pulling each hair strand into the thin skin base, making a U-turn, and then pulling it up through the base to form a V. This creates a V-loop for each strand, giving it the appearance of two strands, simulating the effect of real human hair growing from the scalp, allowing the hair to sway naturally and blend naturally with your client's hair.
The lifespan of a V-loop hair system depends on several factors, including base thickness, ventilation method, and how well it’s maintained.
Base thickness is the most influential factor. The thinner the skin base, the more natural it looks—but also the shorter its lifespan. For example:
- 0.03mm skin – around 1 month with proper care.
- 0.06mm–0.08mm skin – typically 3–4 months when well maintained.
- 0.10mm+ skin – can last over 6 months, though with a noticeable compromise in naturalness.
The type of hair used also plays a role. Using top-grade human hair can extend a hair system's useable life, as higher-quality hair strands are less prone to breakage and shedding.
When sourcing V-loop hair systems for your business, choosing a manufacturer with strict quality standards and proven expertise is key to ensuring your clients enjoy both durability and a natural appearance.
Note: The marked lifespan is an estimate, the actual lifespan still depends on maintenance and how the hair system is used.

V-looped Skin – Each strand of hair is inserted through the thin skin base, looped back, and pulled out to form a “V” shape. This method creates the look of two strands from one insertion point, with no visible knots at the root, achieving an extremely natural appearance.
Knotted Skin – Using a tiny hook, each strand is passed through the skin base and secured with a knot at the bottom. Compared to V-loops, this method offers greater durability.
In short, V-looped systems are ideal for clients who prioritize a completely natural hairline and appearance, while knotted skin hair systems are better suited for clients who value maximum lifespan.

Glue is most commonly to install V-loop hair systems, as it’s generally faster and easier to work with than tape, while ensuring a stronger hold. Plus, the skin base has no holes, so the glue won't seep through to the hair, causing damage. It's also easier to clean. Here’s a quick step-by-step guide:
Step 1: Cut the hair system down to your client’s size, and cut off the extra skin along the front hairline. Be careful not to cut the hair when cutting the base.
Step 2: Shave off the hair on the area that will be covered by the injected thin skin hairpiece. Thoroughly clean the scalp with alcohol.
Step 3: Use a make-up pencil to mark a few dots on your client’s scalp along the edge of the hair system. The front hairline can be located by placing four fingers above your client’s eyebrows.
Step 4: Brush a thin layer of glue up to the dots before carefully wiping the dots off.
Step 5: Wait until the glue is completely dry and position the injection hair system from the front hairline all the way to the back. Try to make sure that there are no bubbles. Once the injected hair system is nicely positioned, firmly press it to make sure it is tightly secured to your client’s head.

Proper daily maintenance is key to keeping the HS1-V looking natural and lasting longer. Here are tips you can pass on to your clients:
Washing Guidelines:
- Limit washing to once a week to prevent excessive moisture on the base, which increases the risk of hair loss.
- Use cold or lukewarm water—never hot, so the hair doesn't come off.
- Avoid soaking the hair system; instead, lightly spray a little bit of water on thehair.
- Apply a small amount of shampoo and conditioner, and never let conditioner get to the roots so the hair doesn't slip out.
Daily Care:
- Comb gently, and never brush when wet.
- Detangle when the hair is slightly damp, using a leave-in conditioner spray for ease.
- Avoid pulling or tugging at the base when styling.
Additional Recommendations:
- The hair system can be washed while worn, but it's best to remove it at least once a month for a proper wash and maintenance.
- After washing, leave the hair airdry or use a low-heat dryer.
- A small amount of shedding is normal and not a cause for concern.
